The programme offers a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary studies at European universities. EU-HEM offers courses of methods and health economics, management, leadership, health policy, governance and law.
Leading universities The University of Oslo has developed the EU-HEM programme in cooperation with three other leading European universities: Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR), the Netherlands Management Centre Innsbruck (MCI), Austria University of Bologna (UniBo), Italy Read more at EU-HEM Specializations Depending on your specialization you have the opportunity to study at four top European universities.
The programme offers specialization within four fields ensuring a profound education: Economics & Policy Economic Evaluation Management of Healthcare Institutions Population Health Management Joint degree Upon successful completion of the EU-HEM, you will be awarded a degree and a joint diploma in European Master in Health Economics and Management, recognized by all four universities. The names of the national degrees differ, but will be described in the Joint Diploma Supplement. All students receive Erasmus+ grants when traveling between universities. The E+ scholarship varies between €3,500-€4,500 in total for the entire study period. The local titles: In The Netherlands: Master of Science In Austria: Master of Arts In Italy: Laurea Magistrale In Norway: Master of Philosophy Support for field work travel expenses for master students The Institute of Health and Society (HELSAM) provide modest financial support for students pursing master’s degree programme at the institute, to facilitate fieldwork activities outside the EU/EEA related to their theses. Career opportunities An international master degree is strongly supported by future employers in international organizations, hospitals and care organizations, governmental agencies, and research institutions.
